a week ago our awesome friends at Gorogoro & Nikoniko (visit them if you haven't already!) awarded life with Fae the Liebster Blog Award! "Liebster" means "favorite" or "dearest" in German and we are honored to be receiving this award. :)

antaŭ unu semajno niaj bonegaj amikoj ĉe Gorogoro & Nikoniko (angle; vizitu ilin se vi ankoraŭ ne vizitis!) donis al life with Fae la Blog-premion Liebster! "Liebster" signifas "plej ŝatata" aŭ "plej kara" en la germana kaj ni estas honoraj pro ricevi la premion. :)

it's hard to choose so few, but i would like to pass this award on to 5 of my cat blogger friends. i have to apologize in advance if anyone i am giving this award to has already received it. i have been horrible at following others' blogs lately and am very behind. :(

estas tre malfacila elekti tiom malmultajn, sed mi volas doni la premion al 5 el miaj kat-blogaj amikoj. anticipe mi devas pardonon peti ĉar eble mi donos la premion al iu, kiu jam ĝin ricevis. lastatempe mi estis terura pri sekvi la blogojn de aliaj kaj do mi ne scias, kiu jam ĝin ricevis. :( ĉiuj blogoj estas en la angla, do mi skribos pri ili nur en la angla.

•  Pierro + Miles' Happy Place: Pierro & Miles' blog always makes me smile and i promise it'll make you smile too. :)
•  Critters in the Cottage: with two new additions to the family, the Critters in the Cottage are more fun to visit than ever! which i would have thought impossible given how fun it was already. :)
•  Kwee Cats: currently on hiatus (all the best to you, Kwee-mom!), Kwee Cats is a relatively new blog that follows the life and adventures of 7 awesome Kwee kitties. :)
•  Miss Peach's Cozy Cottage: a loving memorial to Miss Peach that is still home to Hunny Bunny, her new sister Lena and their humans. forever lovely and sweet, i highly recommend paying this blog a visit. :)
•  The Meow Factor: the blog of a fellow expat who is now living in Malaysia with her family, there is always something new to learn and cool things to see in this blog. :)

to all my friends, thank you all for your friendship in 2011! you all are my favorites and i would give you all this award in a heartbeat if i could. :) i hope we can continue to be friends in 2012 and i wish you all the best in the new year!

Fae and Iggy know how to take things easy, do you? note that i'm asking the humans as i'm sure there isn't a cat alive who isn't an expert on the subject. :P i hope everyone's enjoyed their weekend. :)

Fae kaj Iggy scias kiel malstreĉiĝi, ĉu ankaŭ vi? notu, ke mi demandas al la homoj ĉar mi certas, ke ne ekzistas kato, kiu ne estas tute lerta pri tiu temo. :P mi esperas, ke ĉiuj ĝuis la semajnfinon. :)

as you've seen in previous posts, Fae and Iggy have been getting along amazingly well. they both seem to really like each other and Fae seems to be particularly fond of Iggy. (CRUSH???) regardless of that, they do fight. usually it's just a play fight but sometimes play fights turn a bit more serious. usually it's Fae who is the first to take things too far and sometimes (more often than not) she's the one that starts a fight. i can't for the life of my figure out why. Iggy goes around grumbling & yowling a lot (i swear he is the LOUDEST cat i have EVER met), maybe he says something insulting to/about her?? lmao

kiel vi vidis en la antaŭaj blogaĵoj, Fae kaj Iggy tute kaj mirinde amikiĝis. ŝajnas al mi, ke ili ege ŝatas unu la alian kaj precipe Fae ŝategas Iggy (ĉu AMO???) malgraŭ tio, ili ankoraŭ batalas unu la alian. kutime la batalo estas nur ludo, sed foje la ludo fariĝas tro serioza. kutime Fae estas la unua fariĝi tro serioza kaj foje (pli ofte jes ol ne) ŝi komencas la batalon. la kialon mi tute ne komprenas. tre ofte Iggy grumblante kaj kriante iras tra la apartamento (li estas la PLEJ laŭta kato mi IAM renkontis), eble li diras insultojn al/pri ŝi?? mdr

anyway, here's a video of one of their favorite types of play fights: "Battle for the Tower". expect more and better fight photos/videos to come in the future.

ĉiuokaze, jen filmeto pri unu el iliaj plej ŝatataj specoj de lud-batalo: "Batalo por la Tur'". atendu por vidi pli bonajn kaj pli multe da fotoj(n)/filmetoj(n) pri iliaj bataloj estontece.

another lesson learned / ankoraŭ unu lernita leciono

Fae finally did it! as an ice breaker Fae slowly went up to him, settled down and proceeded to try to clean him but Iggy wasn't having that... WHY?? men.... *shakes head* after several tries and several nips + glares from Iggy she finally just curled up and went to sleep. thankfully Iggy at least allowed that. hmph!

finfine Fae ĝin faris! unue Fae malrapide alproksimiĝis al li, kuŝis apud li kaj komencis purigi lin, sed tio ne plaĉis al Iggy..... KIAL?? viroj.... *malaprobante kapneas* post kelkaj provoj kaj kelkaj mordetoj + malafabla rigardado de Iggy, ŝi finfine ĉesis purigi lin kaj endormiĝis. dankinde almenaŭ tion Iggy permesis. hmph!

on a much more serious note, last night we had a really big scare. Iggy and Fae were chasing each other back and forth all over the place as usual and somehow Fae got her head caught in one of the blind cords.... i heard weird noises and ran to see what happened and found Fae frantically gasping & kicking while hanging from the cord by her head... her feet couldn't reach the ground. if neither of us had heard her or if this had happened while we weren't home..................... let this be a lesson to all with cats and blinds or dangling cords of any kind. such cords can be deadly.

kaj multoble pli serioze, la pasintan nokton okazis grandega teruro ĉe ni. kiel kutime Iggy kaj Fae ĉaskuradis unu la alian tra la tuta apartamento kaj iele la kapo de Fae kaptiĝis per krodo de ĵaluzio..... mi aŭdis strangajn sonojn kaj kuris por vidi kio okazis. mi trovis Fae, kiu panikante spiraĉadis kaj piedbatadis la aeron dum ŝi pendis sur kordo per la kapo... ŝia piedoj ne povis atingi la plankon. se ni ne aŭdis ŝin aŭ se tio okazis, kiam ni ne hejme estis.......................... ĉi tio estu leciono por ĉiuj, kiuj havas katojn kaj ĵaluzioj aŭ aliaj pendantaj kordoj. tiaj kordoj povas esti mortigaj.
